Elma's New Compact Threaded Switch Saves Space
FREMONT, California, Feb 16, 2005- Elma Electronic, a leading designer and manufacturer of rotary components and electronic packaging products, has expanded its C08 switch family to include a threaded version. These space-saving switches meet Six Sigma quality standards and work well-within original specifications after 15-20,000 switching cycles. The C08 switches are commonly used in hand-held devices, two-way radios, industrial and medical instruments, and video applications
The new Threaded C08 is approximately 20% more compact than their previous switches. The threaded bushing is M6 x 0.75mm thread size. The line is designed to fulfill the industry trends of requiring a smaller size switch with SMD pins, reflow compatibility, and price competitiveness. The C08 is a coded output switch, available in Hex or Gray codes (custom codes are also available). The smaller 9mm x 9mm platform offers not only more space for other components, but also can come at a reduced price, depending on quantities ordered. Like all the company's switches, the C08 features Elma's renowned "Click With A Kick" tactile feedback. The C08 is available in both SMD and THT styles.
As with previous Elma designs, the C08 can be modified to meet the need of customer's specific requirements. Samples are provided upon request.
