Original Press Release:

Henkel Loctite Introduces Thread Treatment Technology in Semi-Solid Stick Form

Rocky Hill, Conn. - June 11, 2003. They're neat. They're clean. They couldn't be easier to carry or apply. And they're designed to simplify and improve industrial maintenance programs. Henkel Loctite Corporation introduces Loctite® Thread Treatment Sticks, a line of threadlocking, thread sealing, and anti-seize products in semi-solid stick form.

Convenient and portable, the Thread Treatment Stick line includes five products: Loctite® 248 medium strength blue threadlocker, Loctite® 268 high strength red threadlocker, Loctite® 561 PST® pipe sealant with PTFE, Loctite® C5-A® copper based anti-seize, and Loctite® Silver Grade anti-seize. All Thread Treatment Sticks deliver the same proven performance characteristics of liquids, but will not leak or drip and can be easily carried in a pocket or stored in a toolbox.

With easy-to-identify color-coded caps, the new Thread Treatment Sticks are designed to complement their liquid counterparts. Thread Treatment Sticks offer greater flexibility in overhead or hard-to-reach applications, on components that cannot be moved, and for pretreating bolts.

Patented worldwide and available only from Henkel Loctite, these are the first chemical threadlocking and thread sealing products in a semi-solid form. In 2003, Henkel Loctite Corporation is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the invention of anaerobic technology by Loctite founder Professor Vernon Krieble.
