Selco Thin-Film Thermistors are Designed for Tight Spaces



ORANGE, Calif. - Nov. 7, 2002 - A new line of Thin-Film NTC Thermistors from Selco Products Company offers an innovative low-profile design to fit applications with very tight space constraints. The ultra-thin Selco TF Series of negative temperature coefficient thermistors features a combination of 500µm thickness along with superior electrical insulation. This design is especially advantageous in applications where mounting could contact the electrodes. In addition, these thermistors offer a fast response time, are elastic, and solder easily.

The Selco TF Series thermistors operate in a temperature range of -50°C to 90°C under R/T Curve F with tolerances available at ±1°C, ±3°C or ±5°C. Dissipation constant is 0.7mW/°C in still air, with a thermal time constant of 5 sec. Maximum power rating is 3.5mW at 25°C. Rated zero-power resistance value at 25°C is 10,000 ohms. Additional features include solder plated wires and brass alloy leads. The new thermistors are available in three lengths, 15mm, 25mm and 50mm, and are priced from $0.24 to $0.60 each in production quantities.
