RTP Company to Expands LFRT Product Line


WINONA, MINNESOTA, USA - December 18, 2002 - Custom compounder RTP Company, Winona, MN, announces that as of December 18th, 2002, it will begin offering for sale long fiber reinforced thermoplastics (LFRTs) with fiber loadings above 30% by volume. RTP Company had been manufacturing and selling LFRT products below 30% by volume fiber content up to this date.

According to Bob Wick, Product Manager-Structural Materials for RTP Company, "RTP Company has been manufacturing LFRT compounds since the 1980's and a recently expired patent now allows RTP Company to offer a complete line of LF products. The expired patent had only affected a minor portion of our LF business, but had a negative effect on the market place in general. We are pleased to announce that as of today, a full line of LF products will again be offered. We have customers anxious to place orders with RTP Company for our expanded product line. The bottom line is that this is a win for our customers and for the market place as a whole."
