Thermo Fisher Scientific Sets up Direct Sale of Cahn Product Portfolio in Several European Countries


Now sold under the Thermo Scientific brand, products will be manufactured in Karlsruhe, Germany

Karlsruhe, Germany (March 19, 2008) - Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., the world leader in serving science, today announced that it will directly sell its well-known microbalances, digital recording balances, thermogravimetric analyzers, and dynamic contact angle analyzers through its subsidiaries in Austria, BENELUX, France, Germany, and UK effective March 1, 2008. Formerly sold under the Cahn brand, these instruments will be sold now under the Thermo Scientific brand and manufactured in Karlsruhe, Germany. Thermo Scientific represents the company's premier analytical instrumentation.

While the Thermo Scientific microbalances are designed for fast and high-precision weight measurement down to 0.1 ug, Thermo Scientific digital recording balances (DRB) go steps further to offer long-term, stable, sample weight monitoring under a user-defined environment.
