The Mule Receives SolidWorks Design Contest Award

Design Takes 2nd Place at 2008 Ceremony
Milford, Conn. (Jan. 29, 2008) - Creating a product that can stack, transport and be positioned into a portable work bench is no easy task. Beyond Products, Inc. and Page Product Design, collaborated on the design of The Mule(TM) and were recently recognized for their efforts at the 2008 SolidWorks Design Contest ceremony in San Diego. The Mule(TM) received second place in the SolidWorks Design Contest Top Model category.
The Mule(TM) is the industry's first affordable, electronically powered compact hand-lift truck designed as a stacker, transporter and portable work bench. The Mule(TM) is custom-designed to fit through narrow spaces allowing it to go where forklifts cannot, enabling the movement of items in confined spaces.
"We are very excited and honored that we have been recognized for the design of The Mule," said Thomas Raducha, vice president of sales, Beyond Products. "We worked with Page Product Design and Brighton & Hove Mold Ltd. to develop a product that would be powerful, sleek and compact. The overall look and feel of The Mule was equally important as the functionality."
Raducha added that the design was truly a collaborative effort of three companies. "Taking a product from concept to design is no easy task, but by working with Page Product Design and Brighton & Hove, we were able to create The Mule," said Raducha.
