The Flash: There is No Subsitute

The Flash cutting technology represents precision die-less cutting at its finest. It is an incredibly efficient cutting system that represents the greatest ‘cutting edge’ technology when it comes to material fabrication and converting, anything non-metallic of course. The Flash is a machine that can run all day, everyday. It is a set it and forget it piece of equipment with very low maintenance that takes quality to the next level. That may or may not be based on the skill set of the guy who runs these bad boys, he is a technological whiz, but nonetheless we have these machines mastered, and we are ready for your next project.

Before we get into it, here are the key features of The Flash:

  • Precision cutting, tight tolerances

  • Multi-cutting capabilities for intricate parts

  • Accepts CAD files

  • Rapid Prototyping capabilities

  • No need for expensive tooling

  • Reduced lead times

  • Improved material yield

  • Design flexibility

The Flash has multi-cutting capabilities including score cutting, kiss cutting, and hole punching.

With a wide 5ft. x 10ft. cutting surface, we can manufacture very small parts to very large parts. One of the most important aspects of this machine is the fact that it can hold it can hold a +/- .1 mm tolerance. Music to engineers’ ears is what we like to call that.

Customers can supply CAD files that can easily be uploaded into the machines software and ready to cut within minutes. For customers that are unsure about the parts they need, don’t fret, we can build them into the software with dimensions supplied to us. This is where rapid prototyping plays a key role.

This technology doesn’t require any tooling, which means a couple of things. For one, no expensive tooling will be required, which in turn can potentially save hundreds, if not, thousands of dollars depending on the product. Secondly, on most days, we can have prototypes out the door within a day or two, and if we need to make adjustments, it is a quick fix of the file and back in a Flash.

No tooling requirement also plays a major role when it comes to production. Not only will it reduce lead times, but there will also be no need to send back a die to be sharpened or re-ruled, which again, saves more money in the long run. Material utilization also plays a big role in cost savings. The Flash was designed to be extremely efficient; it has many features that allow us to cut back on materials as much as possible.

The benefits of Flash Cutting are endless, if you have any questions, comments or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will be happy to supply you with any information you may need, so we can put The Flash to work for you.
