The Company's Latest Addition to Its Facilities Is the LaserStar 1900 XL Series Industrial Laser Welding Workstation


Santa Clara, California - WES Manufacturing, a contract manufacturer of precision parts and complex assemblies announced an effort to further improve its service and support to the medical device industry, by adding Laser Welding capability. This commitment allows WES to become a more visible and viable partner to Medical Device companies nationwide, who seek to improve their equipment performance, streamline their supply base and enhance their competitive position in their markets.

The company's latest addition to its facilities is the LaserStar 1900 XL Series Industrial Laser Welding Workstation, ideal for a wide range of metal joining and complex weld joints including a CNC. The Laser Star is equipped with a 100 Joule power supply, programmable X-Y table and angular rotation automation device for repeatable and precise movement during welding. This allows for efficient and accurate welding of small and precise assemblies.

WES has a unique and powerful lineup of machine tools specializing in small multi-axis complex parts. These items typically require Swiss 4, 5, 6 and 7 Axis turning and milling capabilities. WES has seven 5 axis mills as well as multiple pallet horizontal machines. These machines allow WES to run parts 24/7, lights out to provide customer value. WES can set up a family of parts on these machines, turn off the lights and go home. This allows WES to be not only efficient but competitive in a very competitive market.

WES is very familiar with machining inconel, hastaloy, kovar, magnesium, various stainless steels, copper, aluminum as well as various plastics. WES currently produces parts and assemblies for such customers as Intuitive Surgical and Rolls Royce.
