Thermo Electron Corporation Announces New KeyTek EMCPro® PLUS EMC Immunity Test System
LOWELL, MA (August 1, 2004) - Thermo's compliance test group, responsible for KeyTek product lines, introduces the newly configured EMCPro® PLUS test system. Featuring resident capabilities for EMC compliance testing to 6 IEC/EN standards, the EMCPro PLUS fully addresses new requirements for a 100 kHz burst rate per IEC61000-4-4, Edition 2 (EFT) and 80% dip per IEC 61000-4-11, Edition 2 (PQF).
Portable and affordable, the KeyTek EMCPro PLUS features surge testing to 6kV with the combination, telecom, and ring waves. It is the only combination tester on the market to offer the combination wave with one or two additional built-in surge waveforms. This feature eliminates dependence on test houses, and on the need to purchase expensive test equipment.
In addition, the KeyTek EMCPro PLUS is the only system to monitor surge voltage and current at the output terminals. For greatest accuracy, it monitors at the output of the coupling unit and automatically switches connections according to the coupling mode instead of measuring at the generator.
