Test Equipment screens anti-depressant activity in mice.
Press Release Summary:

With measuring principle based on energy expended by mice trying to escape from their suspension, Tail Suspension Test facilitates screening of anti-depressive and psychotropic properties of drugs in mice. High-throughput system allows for automatic randomization, and can automatically measure immobility and power generated by up to 6 mice simultaneously. System includes suspension cages and software to run, record, analyze, and replay experiments.
Original Press Release:
Tail Suspension Test for Screening Anti-Depressant Activity in Mice
Harvard Apparatus has introduced the Tail Suspension Test for fast and reliable screening of anti-depressive and psychotropic properties of drugs in a mouse model.
The measuring principle is based on the energy expended by mice trying to escape from their suspension.
Automatic randomization is possible in the high-throughput system. This system can automatically measure the immobility and power generated by up to six mice simultaneously.
Complete system includes suspension cages and user-friendly software to run, record, analyze and replay experiments.
