PCD Pluggable Terminal Blocks
(Peabody, MA) PCD Inc. has introduced two new product lines of European style pluggable terminal blocks on .150" and .200" centers. The blocks utilize stainless steel clamping springs to provide "screwless" termination which simplifies wire installation and reduces system assembly time. The plugs are configured in a convenient "front-front" design which permits both wire entry and spring actuation from the same connector surface.
The .150" SCVF plug is available in 2 through 20 positions, and mates with PCD's range of .150" ELVH headers, as well as compatible competitive headers. It is a drop-in spring clamp alternate to PCD's .150 " ELVF style screw terminal plug. When used with stranded wire, an actuating button is used to open the clamp and facilitate wire insertion. 18 AWG solid wire or larger can be inserted directly into the connector.
The .200" spacing SCFF, available in 2 through 8 positions, mates with PCD ELFH headers and compatible competitive devices, and is a spring termination equivalent to PCD's .200" ELFF style screw terminal plug. Individual spring contact clamps are depressed to insert or remove wires by inserting a flat-bladed screwdriver into an actuation slot on the block. All plugs are available in black or green, with tin plating standard and gold plating optional.
