Press Release Summary:
253 Series printed circuit board terminal blocks have 2 push wire connections: one parallel to PCB and one perpendicular. Alternative connection allows electrical potential to be looped without additional terminal blocks. Solid conductors with cross section from 20 to 16 AWG can be connected. Series is rated at 500V, and carries load current of 10A. Pin spacing is 5 mm.
Original Press Release:
PCB Terminal Blocks Offer Alternative Connections
Germantown, WI, March 2002 - WAGO Corporation's 253 Series printed circuit board terminal blocks provide several conductor connection positions. The compact, 253 Series PCB blocks feature two push wire connections, one parallel to the PCB, the other perpendicular.
Installers now have a greater variety of installation options to best suit their specific application. The design of the 253 Series offers an alternative connection possibility, should the primary connection not be accessible due to installation requirements. Boards with different arrangements are not needed, cutting production and storage costs.
The second connection also allows the electrical potential to be looped without the need for additional terminal blocks. Solid conductors with a cross section from 20-16 AWG can be connected. The 253 Series is rated at 500V, and carries a load current of 10A. The pin spacing is 5 mm.
