BOSTON, MA - SEPTEMBER 24, 2002 - FISO Technologies, a leading developer, manufacturer and marketer of high quality fiber optic sensors and measurement systems for R&D and industrial applications introduces the HERO model optical temperature sensor designed for extremely fast response time and low thermal sink effect.
This new sensor, designed to mate with FISO new generation of optical signal conditioners, is based on Fabry-Pérot interferometry (FPI). Fiber-optic sensors using FPI are currently highly-coveted on the market because of their great versatility, their high performance and their wide dynamical range. FISO Technologies' HERO temperature sensor is completely immune to electromagnetic, electrical, microwave and radio-frequency fields. FISO's HERO optical temperature sensor offers many distinctive features, including an extremely high response time (fewer than 1ms), a very small size with a diameter of 150 microns and a thickness of 100 microns, as well as the capacity of operating in harsh environments.
