EXTON. PA - April 1, 2003 - ifm efector's TR Series process temperature monitor provides highly accurate temperature indication of fluids. Featuring a 4-digit numeric LED display, the compact, stainless steel monitor is mounted directly at the process providing local indication of temperature. Readings are displayed in 0.1° increments, programmable in °F or °C, with a temperature range of -40 to 572°F (-40 to 300°C). The 24V DC unit provides a single switching and scaleable analog output (4-20 mA or 0-10V).
The temperature monitor's integrated display allows a user to view temperature directly at the process. Able to withstand harsh conditions, the robust housing does not require the added protection of an enclosure or control box. The monitor's highly-visible 4-digit LED display can be viewed from a distance which is advantageous in low-lit areas.
The monitor can interface with a 2, 3, or 4-wire Pt100 or Pt1000 RTD that is mounted in an existing process or can be mounted to ifm efector's line of RTDs. The monitor also offers the convenience of bench setup without the need for an additional temperature reference or instrument.
Using the monitor's microprocessor-based pushbutton programming, users can toggle through a variety of menu options. The scaleable analog output can be set to either 4-20mA or 0-10V. The switching output has an independent setpoint and resetpoint that can be programmed as normally open or normally closed. A " fail high" or "fail low" feature allows users to set an alarm signal if the RTD is damaged or if the RTD connection is broken. List price of the temperature control monitor is $215 (U.S.).
