CurveX 3 Basic Introduced
New production oven logger
TQC, developer and manufacturer of paint test equipment, introduces a new model in the CurveX Oven logger series. The CurveX 3 Basic is an oven recorder designed for everyday use in powder coating lines.
The 4-channel temperature data logger is built in a sturdy machined aluminium case that fulfils the basic needs for quality control in powder coating applications. Its ease of use and affordable price level makes it an ideal job-coaters instrument.
Quality assurance
TQC’s experience and know-how of producing CurveX oven loggers for over 15 years resulted in a practical tool that assures powder cure quality and generates savings in energy consumption and production time. The CurveX 3 Basic is placed in an insulated box before it passes through the oven. The instrument measures and registers the temperature at several places of the work piece. The preset paint type specification is evaluated against the temperature over time resulting in a clear cure pass or fail.
The measurements are uploaded to the PC via USB and analyzed using the TQC Ideal Finish Analysis software. Users can create templates for each combination of coating system, component with probe layout, oven and oven setting. Together with the probe positions, which can easily be represented on a picture of the component, this ensures that the test is reproducible and that the coating system quality will remain consistent.

CurveX 3 Basic is easy to operate. It is equipped with only three large buttons and instead of a display multi coloured LED’s give meaningful feedback. The memory has the capacity to store 10 batches of each 16000 readings and furthermore allows the storage of 16 on board paint types.
