Temperature Control MCU handles 2 to 128 zones.

Press Release Summary:

Designed to control temperature in 2-128 zones, Model Z1240 utilizes PID control technology that is accurate to 1/10°C. Integrated diagnosis program detects wiring errors and thermocouple breaks, while fuses protect control from mains voltage at sensor inputs caused by short circuits. Through automatic comparison with last used output levels, deviations are displayed, informing operator of imminent malfunctions, corrosion, soiling, or possibility of heating failure.

HASCO Microprocessor Control Unit Z1240/...

The new microprocessor control unit Z1240/.... is noted above all for its extremely fast and accurate controlling and its user-friendly programming. Very fast scanning rates ensure precise temperature control from 2 to 128 control zones. The PID control technology is accurate to 1/10 °C and, combined with fuzzy logic, controls the control systems either via pulse packages, phase angle or a combination of the two, and reliably protects against overshooting, which could impair the temperature control or, at worst, even destroy the heating system.

The integrated diagnosis program detects wiring errors and thermocouple breaks. Fuses protect the control unit from mains voltage at the sensor inputs caused by short circuits. LEDs for each zone identify broken fuses and short-circuit triacs. The necessary spare parts are located directly in the unit to minimize downtimes. The usual comfort control unit functions are included such as boost mode, stand-by operation and temperature cooling, and the operator also has the possibility of grouping control circuits together and thus simplifying operation even further.

One special feature is the output level monitoring. Here, through automatic comparison with the last used output levels, deviations are displayed, informing the operator at an early stage of imminent malfunctions, corrosion, soiling or the possibility of a heating failure, even before faulty moulded parts emerge from the mould. Through self-definable alarm limits, the user can define how sensitively the unit reacts to deviations.

In the highly compact housing, all the control zones can be seen at one go, while LEDs indicate constantly the operating status. The user enjoys significant time saving through the automatic control system recognition, in which the control unit automatically selects the fastest possible start routine. At the same time, through creep current monitoring, it can detect any residual moisture and dry it off quickly. With the fan-free housing, the Z1240 is highly reliable even under difficult service conditions, setting standards in efficiency, comfort and safety.

Together with the control unit Z125/..., the economy multi-zone control unit Z1293/... and the multi-zone control unit Z1230/..., HASCO offers the customer the right solution for every type of control. When bought in combination with a HASCO Hot Runner, the user also benefits from an extended guarantee.
