Telefonica O2 Slovakia Launches Postpaid Billing Capabilities with New Amdocs Billing Solution


The Amdocs Billing StartPack incorporates pre-defined products, business processes and implementation services for rapid rollout

BARCELONA, Spain and ST. LOUIS, Feb. 12 -- Amdocs (NYSE:DOX), the leading provider of customer experience systems, today announced that Telefonica O2 Slovakia has deployed a new Amdocs billing solution -- the Amdocs Billing StartPack -- to quickly establish its wireless postpaid billing capabilities (billing after service use). The Amdocs Billing StartPack has made it possible for Telefonica 02 Slovakia to rapidly introduce innovative voice, data and content services and bundles, and deliver a single bill for all offers. Additionally, Telefonica O2 Slovakia has been able to quickly expand its portfolio to offer postpaid services and attractive tariffs for targeted offers to new and existing customers. Amdocs provided the system integration services to support the deployment. The announcement was made today at the Mobile World Congress (Amdocs Booth B101, Hall 8).

Part of the Telefonica group of companies spanning more than 206 million customers across Europe, Africa and Latin America, Telefonica O2 Slovakia launched its commercial operations in early 2007. "Telefonica 02 Slovakia needed an end-to-end billing system that guaranteed superior customer service and an innovative customer experience up and running in a matter of months," said Juraj Sedivy, chief executive officer at Telefonica O2 Slovakia. "With a history of successful deployments in other Telefonica markets, including Spain and the Czech Republic, we knew Amdocs would deliver. The Amdocs Billing StartPack, an advanced solution that incorporates pre-defined products, business processes, implementation services and interfaces, is tested and ready for deployment to deliver a cost-effective billing solution in a few months. The StartPack incorporates pre-integrated and market-proven Amdocs products for convergent support across voice, data and content services. The solution features a single rating engine, a single billing gateway and a product catalog, promoting data integrity and allowing the provider to offer customers a consolidated bill across all offerings. The business processes included within the solution build on Amdocs' best practices and history of more than 25 years of successful delivery to the communications industry.
