Wireless Industry to Support Groundbreaking Mobile Safety Application

SAN DIEGO, June 21 -- AmberWatch Mobile, a new technology service that turns everyday cell phones into an effective safety tool, announced the upcoming launch of their AmberWatch Mobile service at QUALCOMM's BREW(R) 2007 Conference. During his keynote address, QUALCOMM CEO Paul Jacobs highlighted the new technology of AmberWatch Mobile and asked the industry to join QUALCOMM in supporting the cause. QUALCOMM will be donating 100 percent of its revenue from AmberWatch Mobile to the AmberWatch Foundation.

The AmberWatch Mobile service, targeted for a September consumer rollout, will provide GPS tracking capabilities to all AmberWatch Mobile-enabled wireless phones and handheld devices to help keep wireless consumers and their loved ones safe from harm. The application for AmberWatch Mobile is developed by WaveMarket, the family-location services leader. Once launched, AmberWatch Mobile's services will include text-message, voice, web and email alerting systems that provide:

-- Alerts: Individuals will be able to send alerts, which include their GPS location, to family and friends to indicate that they need assistance.

-- Location Views: Select family and friends who will be able to view a loved one's location on a map from a PC or mobile phone.

-- Scheduled Checks: Parents will be able to set up "scheduled checks" so they will be automatically notified that their children are where they should be, like arriving at home from school.

-- Phone Tree: When a loved one feels threatened and sends an alert, if their primary contact is not reachable, the system will continue to be active until a secondary contact is reached.

"QUALCOMM is continuing to push for the adoption of technology that not only meets the needs of individual end users, but also contributes to society's greater good," said Steve Altman, president, QUALCOMM. "AmberWatch Mobile is an example of one such technology that can have a positive impact and that truly demonstrates how the wireless industry can make a difference."

"AmberWatch Mobile is designed to protect people in harm's way and to provide peace of mind," said Keith Jarrett, chairman and CEO of the AmberWatch Foundation. "We are hopeful that this easy-to-use technology will be another tool that will prevent child abduction and other violent crimes before they happen."

The AmberWatch Foundation is a proud partner of AmberWatch Mobile. Approximately half of the proceeds from product sales go to the Foundation in support of its programs educating children and their parents on how to stay safe from sexual predators. Examples of such programs include "Be Safe!," a nationwide turnkey safety program presented in elementary schools by local active and retired law enforcement professionals. The AmberWatch Foundation is also supported and championed by celebrities such as national spokesperson Teri Hatcher along with Al Roker and Ray Romano.

The BREW Conference is an annual wireless conference held by QUALCOMM that focuses on the state of the wireless industry and new technology.
