SSI Robotics Offers Versatile Line of Microplate Stackers

SSI Robotics has introduced the versatile QuickStack(TM) conveyor and gripper-based microplate automation system. The system, which utilizes robots from Yamaha Robotics, features a modular approach to microplate automation that enables the QuickStack to adapt to a wide range of applications. It works with microplate-based instruments and can bring microplates to and from dispensers, readers, washers, etc. New versions have been adapted to vials and other labware. Conveyor-based versions are economical for simple tasks or long travel. Gripper-based versions provide enhanced capabilities, such as recessed nest access, stacking of multiple instruments, and dynamic scheduling. SSI's software is seamlessly integrated with 3rd party scheduling software, resulting in hundreds of proven instrument drivers and advanced scheduling capabilities. This allows the system to interface with virtually any microplate-based instrument. Portable stacks or front loadable/hinged stacks are available. Sensors verify all major actions.

SSI Robotics provides robotic laboratory automation systems and custom medical device manufacturing systems. SSI Robotics is FDA Registered and compliant with ISO 9001 / ISO 13485, GMP, 2.1 CFR Part 820 and Part 11, MDD (Medical Device Directive) and IVDD. Systems have included Laboratory Automation (instrumentation integration, robotics, custom automation, etc.), Labeling (of labware including microplates, vials, slides, tubes), Medical Device Processing (human heart valves, disposables), Packaging, Dispensing/Filling.
