PFU Systems(TM) Expands Plug-N-Run(TM) G3 System-on-Module Product Line

Plug-N-Run G3based on Intel® 1.3GHz Celeron® M processor provides OEMs with quick time-to-market for value-based embedded solutions.

Intel Developer Forum 2004 San Francisco, CA, February 17, 2004 - PFU Systems, Inc., manufacturer of System-on-Modules for embedded solutions, announced today its first System-on-Module with a 1.3GHz Intel® Celeron® M processor and Intel® 855GME chipset. With the Intel® Celeron® M processor, the Company expands its earlier announced Plug-N-Run G3 series of System-on-Modules, based on the Intel® 855GME chipset and Intel® Pentium® M processors, with a module for cost-sensitive, embedded solutions.

"The 1.3GHz Plug-N-Run G3 is fully interchangeable with our 1.1GHz and 1.6GHz Plug-N-Run G3 modules based on the Intel® Pentium® M processor at 1.10GHz and 1.60GHz." said Kishan Jainandunsing, vice president marketing of PFU Systems. "This gives OEMs the flexibility required to address the need for different price points and quickly adapt to shifting market forces."

The 1.3GHz Plug-N-Run G3 modules support the power management and thermal protection features available on the Intel Celeron M processor. Cost savings to customers comes in the form of an L2 cache that is half the size of the 1.1GHz and 1.6GHz Plug-N-Run G3 modules.

The Intel® Celeron® M processor based on a new micro-architecture, offers a new generation of Intel technology and value." said Ton Steenman, general manager, Embedded Intel Architecture Division. "The Plug-N-Run G3 System-on-Modules from PFU Systems significantly simplify the design challenges OEMs face with high-performance host sub-systems, and the new 1.3GHz Plug-N-Run G3 modules make it easy for OEMs to design value-based embedded solutions."
