Miniature 14 Bit Tracking Synchro to Digital Converter Module
A series of new miniature solid state tracking synchro to digital converter modules have been introduced by Computer Conversions Corporation.
The new devices convert synchro inputs of 11.8V or 90V, 400Hz, or 90V, 60Hz into 14 bit parallel binary outputs representing angle with an accuracy of ±4 minutes of arc, ±.9 LSB. The converters have isolated reference and synchro inputs and can track rates up to 1800°/sec. at either 60 or 400Hz. They are also insensitive to input amplitude and frequency variations. The digital output is buffered and DTL/TTL compatable.
Part No. SDC40 requires a 26V or 115V AC reference input and +15V at 50ma, -15VDC at 3Oma, and +5VDC at 30ma, and +5VDC at 350 ma. Size of the P.C. board mounting module is only 2.6" x 3.1" x .82" or 1" H and it is believed to be the smallest unit of this kind available off the shelf. Operating temperature ranges are 0 to 70°C or -55°C to +85°C.
Prices in reasonable production quantities are less than $400 each. Delivery is 4 weeks A.R.O.
