Switchers Deliver 800W in a Compact Package
V-Infinity introduces a family of 800 watt switching power supplies which are available in u-frame or fan-cooled metal enclosed packaging. Delivering more than 9 watts per cubic inch, these compact units are designed for a wide range of industrial and networking applications. Exact dimensions of the VPF-S800-XXR u-frame series measure 7.99x4.33x2.56 inches while the VPM-S800-XXR metal-enclosed series measures 9.17x4.25x2.50 inches. The power supplies are able to deliver a peak load of 900W for up to 500 ms. All models feature active power factor correction.
Voltage outputs range from 12.0-48.0 Vdc, adjustable by +/-5%. The units produce full output power from 0 to 50° C, requiring only 30cfm of airflow for cooling. Power de-rates linearly from 50 to 70° C, at which point the units still produces 50% output at 70° C. Features include an internal EMI filter, remote on/off, remote sense, over voltage, over current, over temperature, and short circuit protections. In addition, optional o-ring diodes can be implemented for current sharing applications. Safety approvals include UL/cUL/TUV/CE/CB. OEM pricing starts at $165 per unit.
