Switched PDUs provide remote control of load levels.

Press Release Summary:

Ranging from 5.7-12.6 kVA, Switched 3-Phase Power Distribution Units support real-time individual outlet control to power up and power down network hardware remotely. Units deliver complete visibility of power consumption per device, per group of devices, and per phase, locally or remotely. By warning of potential overloads via user-defined alarms, PDUs keep users aware of load conditions. Units adapt to PDU orientations served by overhead or raised floor power feeds via rotating display.

New Switched PDUs Provide Remote Control and Monitoring of Load Levels

Chicago, IL - Tripp Lite, a world-leading manufacturer of power protection equipment, has introduced 16 new Switched 3-Phase PDUs in addition to its already extensive line of network-grade Power Distribution Units. Data center managers looking for more powerful management solutions for their IT infrastructures can now economically add receptacle-level power visibility to their toolkits. Tripp Lite 3-Phase Switched PDUs give IT managers the traditional ability to turn on, turn off, recycle or lock-out power to each individual receptacle, but now also provide power information at the receptacle level to monitor individual devices or group of devices. PDU power consumption per-phase or per-receptacle is visually displayed locally on the PDU, and can be monitored remotely via built-in Ethernet interface.

Key Features and Benefits:

o Ensure reliable power distribution in 3-phase applications, from 5.7kVA to 12.6kVA

o Support real-time individual outlet control to power up and power down network hardware remotely

o Deliver complete visibility of power consumption per device, per group of devices and per phase, locally or remotely

o Warn of potential overloads via user-defined alarms before problems occur, keeping users aware of load conditions

o Enable centralized management with Tripp Lite's PowerAlert Network Management System

o Adapt to PDU orientations served by overhead or raised floor power feeds, via rotating display which shows IP address locally

o Provide branch circuit protection via UL489-listed, EN/UL 60950-1-compliant, hydraulic-magnetic circuit breakers

o Offer a variety of 3-phase input plug types; NEMA (L15-20P, L21-20P, L15-30P, L21-30P), HUBBELL C58365 and IEC309 (16A, 30A, 60A) connectors

o Support installation in 2- or 4-post racks, due to 0U vertical form factor

o Provide temperature, humidity and sensor monitoring when used with ENVIROSENSE and SRSWITCH

"Tripp Lite's new Switched 3-Phase PDUs provide an efficient and convenient solution for Data Center power distribution, monitoring and control," said Rich Feldhaus, Tripp Lite Product Manager. "Their ability to control individual outlets and provide real time visibility to the receptacle level delivers the detailed measurements required for green Data Center initiatives and reduced electrical costs."
