WebSurveyor Releases WebSurveyor 5.7

New Product Provides Seamless Integration With Corporate Data Repositories, New Reporting Features and Intelligent E-Mail Management

HERNDON, Va., Feb. 1 -- WebSurveyor Corporation, the leading provider of online survey solutions, has announced today the release of WebSurveyor 5.7. The latest version of its award-winning product allows organizations to feed survey data directly into corporate data repositories, intelligently manage mailing lists, present results in a variety of formats, and effectively manage sub accounts across multiple locations.

"WebSurveyor customers needed a survey solution that goes beyond conventional data collection," says Jeff Beardsley, Web Surveyor Vice President, Survey Tools Group. "They are looking for the product that responds to strategic challenges by rapidly gathering, interpreting, presenting and disseminating critical intelligence. WebSurveyor 5.7 is the powerful tool that combines cutting-edge data collection capacity with the unprecedented ease-of-use and enhanced reporting capacity."

Key new features in WebSurveyor 5.7 include the following:

Application Programming Interface (API) -- allows organizations to seamlessly integrate its online survey tool with major enterprise data systems. Now survey information can be fed directly into Customer Relationship Management, Sales Force Automation, Business Intelligence and other enterprise applications to support critical business decisions. Built using Microsoft .NET, the WebSurveyor API uses a standards-based web services architecture using SOAP and XML. The WebSurveyor API is available to all languages and platforms that support the core web services standards, including Java, .NET, and Perl. Depending on what the integration goal is, customers can use off-the-shelf Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) tools to load survey data on a scheduled basis into their enterprise system. Or for more complex integration tasks customers can develop custom applications in the language/platform of their choice as long as it supports SOAP-based web services.

New List Manager Components -- include the capacity to search and filter mail lists for better targeting of survey invitations, Smarthost support for email jobs to send and receive messages on behalf of the ListManager Service. Now WebSurveyor Private-Hosted customers have an option to relay survey invitations straight from their e-mail systems.

New Reporting Features -- include new default report with cover page. Customizable executive summary includes additional chart options to have more control over look and feel.

New Rich Text Editor -- eliminates the need for HTML knowledge when compiling and formatting questions or performing the report analysis. Also, the new editor offers an easy way to manage an image store and insert company logo, images or display templates in the report.

Multi-User Account Management Capacity for Private-Hosted clients -- administrators now have total control of sub accounts: adding, dropping, and reassigning users and control List Manager access. Also, users can now add their own analysis to each question, share surveys with other users in their account and publish their report on the web, with optional password protected access and optional automatic updating of results.

New Library Management Feature -- provides the ability for privately- hosted customers to upload their own question and response libraries, as well as report and display templates. This gives users the singe point of control over the corporate standard resources.

"iQ Research & Consulting has relied on WebSurveyor as our online survey partner for over three (3) years now and at the risk of giving advice to our competitors would strongly recommend going with WebSurveyor," says Bill Cullo, Managing Director, iQ Research & Consulting. "We always bear our clients' overall goals in mind and develop a best-fit research methodology to not only gather the required information, but also to analyze, interpret and produce actionable findings and insight. The new features WebSurveyor 5.7 has to offer -- better mailing lists management capacity, new reporting and presentation functions -- are likely to make our work easier and more effective."
