Transtector Systems Introduces CCTV16 For Higher Current Surge Suppression Protection of Mission-Critical Systems

Responding to increasing demand for ultra-reliable suppression solutions with faster response and non-degrading characteristics of silicon diodes, Transtector has introduced the RMP-CCTV16. The 19" rack mount unit is 2U tall and protects 16 ports, line-shield and line/shield-GND. The patented diode design will protect against 1800 amps at a 12.5 Voltage Protection level (8/20 waveform test).

"More and more companies have turned to silicon protection solutions in recent years and rightly so," said Dan Rebeck, design engineer at Transtector. "But we were able to nearly double the current handling capability of the nearest competitive offering. In effect, we offer the highest level of protection you can buy in this configuration."

The RMP CCTV16 is designed for higher-end CCTV systems, head end equipment, digital video recorders and routers (where downtime isn't an option).

A 10-year manufacturer warranty and a five-year unconditional warranty cover the unit.
