SOT-23 Supervisor Monitors Six Supplies
MILPITAS, CA - May 27, 2004 - Linear Technology Corporation introduces the LTC2908, a six supply monitor for densely packed systems with large numbers of supplies. Housed in small SOT-23 and DFN packages, this hex supply supervisor accommodates the latest generation of systems, with multiple, low voltage supply rails in addition to the traditional 5V or 3.3V logic supplies. Allowing for compact and precise monitoring, the LTC2908 guarantees that the Reset will be held low with as little as 500mV of the input supply voltage insuring Reset with new low voltage processor. The tight 1.5% threshold accuracy over the entire operating temperature range of -40°C to + 85°C gives the designer an extra degree of precision since it ensures reliable Reset operation without false triggering. These features make the LTC2908 an ideal solution for multivoltage, high-density systems such as desktop and notebook computers, optical networking systems and wireless base stations.
The LTC2908 features two adjustable inputs with a nominal threshold of 0.5V and four fitted thresholds. The LTC2908-A1 gives a choice of monitoring 5V, 3.3V, 2.5V, 1.8V, ADJ1 & ADJ2 voltages, while the LTC2908-B1 monitors accommodates the 3.3V, 2.5V, 1.8V, 1.5V, ADJ1 & ADJ2 voltages.
The LTC2908 is offered in space-saving 8-pin SOT-23 and 2mm x 3 mm DFN packages. The IC is specified over the commercial and industrial temperature ranges and pricing begins at $2.50 each for 1,000 piece quantities.
