Supercritical Fluid Technologies, Inc. introduces the SFT-100XW Supercritical Fluid Extraction (SFE) System. This new, mid-scale SFE was developed to investigate the feasibility of applying supercritical fluid techniques to various analyses and processing challenges. The SFT-100XW is ideal for use in teaching laboratories and for initial process development work.

The SFT-100XW is a fully functional instrument designed to perform extractions in a supercritical fluid media. This SFE system offers the performance and safety features usually found only in higher priced extraction systems.

Reliable, dual sapphire syringe pump technology accurately pressurizes the SFT-100XW's stainless steel vessel which is capable of containing supercritical fluids at pressures up to 10,000 psi (69 MPa). The SFT-100XW accommodates pressure vessels of up to 500 mL capacity and may be configured to run with multiple vessels. The large processing vessels enable the user to extract very low levels of key components from materials, or to process larger amounts of bulk material than would be possible with conventional, analytical scale SFE equipment. An integrated pre-heater ensures the consistent temperature of the fluid delivered to the extraction vessel, ensuring efficient, consistent, and repeatable results. An optional co-solvent pump extends the versatility of the SFT-100XW by enabling extraction of moderately polar compounds.
