WAYNE, Pa., Jan. 15 -- SunGard Availability Services today announced Restoration Services for Managed IT Services that provide customers running full production of IT systems with even greater recoverability for their critical systems and data.

In the Restoration Services for Managed IT Services program, SunGard works with customers to put a plan and resources in place to restore production services at a secondary SunGard site if needed. With this approach customers achieve increased availability while avoiding the upfront capital associated with developing this capability internally, which can help generate a major cost savings.

Many companies have turned to the SunGard Managed IT Services portfolio to maintain business-critical systems and applications, attracted by SunGard's IT infrastructure, which includes a protocol-independent network, hardened facilities, redundant power systems and end user facilities.
