Original Press Release:
Revolutionary New Material for Handling Corrugated
Strong yet flexible
Rockland, MA, May 29, 2002: DURAFLEX(TM) is a revolutionary polyurethane material that combines the soft elasticity of rubber with the exceptional wear resistance of polyurethane.
These unique dual-durometer suction cups are ideally suited for
applications where micro-leakage can occur. Micro-leakage occurs when a suction cup does not properly seal on a handled material, such as a corrugated box.
The cups have an outstanding resistance to wear, give increased production safety with a better grip and leave no marks on the handled parts. Energy (money) can be saved when using these new cups since smaller vacuum pumps can be used or air-driven vacuum pumps can be run at a lower air pressure, due to less leakage as the cup grips the product. Built-in filters protect the vacuum system from dust and dirt.
Applications to use these cups include carton erecting, rotary cartoners, palletizing & depalletizing, pick and place and case formers.
