New Miniature Line Of Hybrid Stepping Motors



(Torrance, CA) - Oriental Motor USA Corp. introduces a new line of miniature 2-phase hybrid stepping motors. These PK Series miniature stepping motors are currently available in two frame sizes: 1.1 in. sq. (28 mm sq.) and 1.38 in. sq. (35 mm sq.).

The 1.1 in. sq. (28 mm sq.) frame size produces the highest torque density (torque per unit volume) of any 2-phase stepping motor and is available in lengths of 1.26 in. (32 mm), 1.57 (40 mm) and 2.03 in. (51.5 mm). These motors produce holding torques of 9.2 oz-in., 13.7 oz-in. and 16.6 oz-in, respectively, in bipolar excitation mode. Shaft speeds in excess of 4,000 rpm are achieved at lighter load conditions for these models.

The 1.38 in. sq. (35 mm sq.) frame size is available in lengths of 1.46 in. (37 mm) and 2.05 in. (52 mm). These motors produce holding torques of 28 oz-in. and 54 oz-in., respectively, in bipolar excitation mode. Shaft speeds of over 3,000 rpm are achieved at lighter load conditions.
