3609V Step Motor


Santa Clara, CA - October 2003 -Lin Engineering, the step motor specialists, can place their high accuracy, size 14 modular step motor in the housing that you need for your individual applications.

The 3609V measures 36.3 mm in diameter and is only 19.8 mm wide. Although this 0.9 degree size 14 motor is capable of up to 16 oz-in holding torque, it weighs a mere 0.27 lbs. The windings are encapsulated with a thermally conductive ceramic based polymer which allows heat to be drawn away from the windings. Thus, allowing for more aggressive windings in the same small package.

The step accuracy of this stepper is +/- 1.5 arc minutes compared to the competitor's accuracy of +/- 4.5 arc minutes at 1/64 microstepping. This is why Lin Engineering's 0.9 degree motor is considered to have the best microstep accuracy in the industry. Additionally, Lin Engineering can place the 3609V in almost any customer supplied/designed housing imaginable.
