Stacking Conveyors include safety-stop feature.
Press Release Summary:
TeleStacker(TM) Telescoping Radial Stacking Conveyors feature Safety Stop(TM), which prevents damage to main truss or stinger of conveyor in event of cable failure. Should loss of cable tension occur, factory-set, spring-loaded Safety Stop activates forks, which support cross-members of stinger truss, holding stinger firmly in extended position. Conveyors come in 110, 130, and 150 ft models with capacities from 500-1,000 TPH.
Original Press Release:
New Standard Safety Feature Added to Superior Industries' Automated Telescoping Radial Stacking Conveyor Line
MORRIS, MN - Superior Industries is dedicated to continuous product advances, particularly where the key issue of safety is concerned. A unique feature called Safety Stop(TM) is now a standard, value-added benefit to Superior's complete line of telescoping radial stacking conveyors. The Safety Stop mechanism is imperative in preventing costly damage to the main truss or stinger of the conveyor in the unlikely event of cable failure.
Should a loss of cable tension occur, the factory-set, spring-loaded Safety Stop activates forks, which support the cross-members of the stinger truss, holding the stinger firmly in its extended position. The conveyor system can then operate in a radial mode, without the retractable stinger, until necessary cable repair is complete.
With the ability to build a fully desegregated stockpile, Superior's TeleStacker(TM) telescoping conveyors are available in 110', 130', and the 150' models. Conveyor capacities range from 500 TPH to 1000 TPH. The TeleStacker conveyor also offers several portability options for ease of set-up and mobility: 1) the fixed radial axle; 2) the pit portable which has a fixed width axle with swiveling wheels, and 3) the road portable option that includes Superior's patented FD series axle assembly. Additionally, TeleStacker conveyors can also be customized with different automation programs. The preferred Genius Automatic Control System allows the user to input the PLC parameters to control the power travel, the hydraulic raising and lowering of the undercarriage, and the telescoping in and out of the stinger.
