New SiliconDrive III Products Feature Increased Performance, Capacities and Mechanical Scalability Ideal for Data Streaming and Embedded System Applications
ALISO VIEJO, Calif., March 17 / / - SiliconSystems, Inc., a world leader in advanced storage technology, today announced its new SiliconDrive III solid-state storage technology platform. SiliconDrive III products include 2.5-inch Serial ATA (SATA) and Parallel ATA (PATA) and 1.8-inch SATA products that offer read speeds up to 100 megabytes per second (MBps) and write speeds to 80 MBps. The new products will be available beginning in the second quarter of 2009 in capacities up to 128 gigabytes (GB).
