New 4.9K Residential Pendent and Concealed Residential Sprinklers
HASTINGS, MI - The Viking Corporation, global manufacturer of fire protection systems, introduces a new 4.9K Residential Pendent Sprinkler and 4.9K Concealed Residential Sprinkler. With the addition of these new sprinklers, Viking's residential line offers the best performance and flexibility available in 12' x 12' (3,7m x 3,7m) through 20' x 20' (6,1m x 6,1m) coverage areas.
The 4.9 K-Factor Frame-Style Residential Pendent Sprinkler (VK438) can be installed below smooth, flat, horizontal ceilings and horizontal ceilings with beams up to 14" (356mm) deep. With the best flows and pressure available through 18' x 18' (5,5m x 5,5m), this UL and c-UL sprinkler can be installed below sloped ceilings with slopes up to and including 8/12 (33.7°) pitch. Available in 155°F/68°C and 175°F/79°C temperatures, this sprinkler comes in a variety of decorative finishes and can be installed surface-mounted or recessed.
The 4.9 K-Factor Concealed Residential Sprinkler (also VK438) offers as good or better flows and pressures available for any residential concealed sprinkler currently on the market for 12' x 12' (3,7m x 3,7m) through 18' x 18' (5,5m x 5,5m). With a domed cover providing ½" (12,7mm) adjustment, this sprinkler is UL and cUL listed for residential occupancies below smooth, flat, horizontal ceilings. It is approved for 155°F/68°C temperature (135°F/57°C cover plate) and is available in a variety of painted finishes.
These sprinklers are shipped with a protective plastic cap that protects against potential damage during shipping, handling and installation.
