Spray Nozzle operates in Zone 1 hazardous locations.
Press Release Summary:
Offering up to 10,000 cycles/min, electrically actuated hydraulic PulsaJet Nozzle is FM-approved for spraying alcohol- and solvent-based fluids in Zone 1 rated hazardous locations. When used with AutoJet® spray controller, nozzle can be cycled on and off very quickly at controlled frequency to achieve Pulse Width Modulated flow control. With PWM flow control, flow rate can be controlled very precisely while pressure remains constant, enabling flow rate to be changed almost instantaneously.
Original Press Release:
New PulsaJet® Spray Nozzle Introduced for Use in Zone 1 Hazardous Locations
Wheaton, IL, USA, – A new electrically-actuated hydraulic PulsaJet nozzle from Spraying Systems Co. is FM-approved for spraying alcohol- and solvent-based fluids in Zone 1 rated hazardous locations. The nozzle, which complies with EU safety directives (ATEX and CE) as well as National Electrical Code 505, provides accurate spray placement and spray pattern integrity in high-speed or low-capacity applications.
Ideal for use in lubricating, dispensing, marking and coating operations, the Zone 1 rated PulsaJet offers high-speed cycling – up to 10,000 cycles per minute – to enable faster line speeds and increased productivity. When used with an AutoJet® spray controller, the nozzle can be cycled on and off very quickly at a controlled frequency to achieve Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) flow control. With PWM flow control, the flow rate can be controlled very precisely while pressure remains constant. This enables flow rate to be changed almost instantaneously and allows extremely high flow turndown ratios at a single pressure, so drop size and spray angle are unaffected. Other benefits of PWM flow control include relatively low flow rates to be generated with larger clog-resistant UniJet® spray tips and reduced fluid consumption by eliminating overspray and waste.
Zone 1 rated PulsaJet nozzles are the latest addition to Spraying Systems Co.’s extensive PulsaJet nozzle line. Standard PulsaJet nozzles are available with a choice of hydraulic or pneumatic atomization and a wide range of spray tip options.
