Spiroflow Systems Containerized Dosing System
CHARLOTTE, N.C.--- Spiroflow and worldwide ejector specialist TransPAC have jointly developed a Containerized Dosing System in which the solids additive handling system, the dosing ejector system and all controls including safety and alarm systems are housed in a 20-ft ISO (Intermodel) container.
The new 'Dosing System in a Box' significantly reduces the cost of water or waste treatment in those situations where a building would otherwise have to be erected. The flexibility and mobility of the containerized dosing system also allows transfer to any location at short notice to deal with a seasonable or emergency situation.
Spiroflow used their extensive experience in conveying bulk solids and bulk bag discharging to design and manufacture the Bulk Bag Unloader and the Flexible Screw Conveyors to transfer additives such as hydrated lime or powered activated carbon (PAC) to the 'TransPAC' Ejector. The 'TransPAC' Ejector introduces the transfer additives into the water flow. The challenge, according to Spiroflow, was to accommodate it all and to make it work efficiently in the restricted height of an ISO container that is usually only 8 ft. high.
