International Light Introduces RPS900 Wideband Spectroradiometer with Optional NEMA 4 Rated Enclosure with Waterproof Connectors

International Light, a leading manufacturer of research-oriented light measurement equipment, has introduced its new RPS900 Wideband Spectroradiometer designed for accurate radiometric readings in a wide variety of applications including research, industrial and field environments. With three models to choose from, the NIST-Traceable Spectroradiometer measures from 220 to 1050 nm at 1 nm resolution, with sensitivity better than 0.005 µW/cm²/nm visible and 0.1 µW/cm²/nm UV, NIR. Typical applications include characterization of UV curing systems, photostability testing, accelerated weathering, solar simulation, photobiology and photochemistry, LED illumination and color analysis.

The RPS900 Spectroradiometer is compact and lightweight at just 2.24 lbs., and packaged in a die-cast aluminum, dust-proof housing with a 2 m long fibre optic and cosine diffuser, including internally shock-mounted components for rugged applications. Two other options are the compact version and a NEMA 4 rated enclosure with waterproof connectors, available for harsh environments or field use.

The RPS900 features a 2048 element CCD with proprietary filtering to achieve high speed and sensitivity over the entire range. Providing user-controlled integration time to 25 msec and 16-bit conversion accuracy, it features a USB interface and software with several export options, real-time graphing, and peak finding with sub-pixel accuracy.

Suitable for use with any process that requires understanding illumination, the RPS900 Spectroradiometer can perform programmable time scheduled measurements, time averaging and FFT smoothing, full-color analysis, and has text, Excel, grams/32, and SPC export options. It is compatible with Windows® 98, 2000 and XP.
