ABLE Instruments Announces the Introduction of the Spectraprobe Linx ATR5-10 In-line MID-IR Scanning Spectrometer

The Linx 5-10ATR is designed to measure the concentration of solvents, sugars, lipids, fatty acids and other substances in-situ. It is ideal for use in fermentation and crystallization processes. As a control tool, it can be used for the real time monitoring of chemical reactions. The principle of measurement is MID-IR ATR (Attenuated Total Reflectance) spectroscopy.

The Linx 5-10ATR incorporates a 12mm probe design that fits into process vessels through existing probe ports. An automatic extraction system is available as an optional extra. A variety of optical materials allows the Linx 5-10ATR to be used in harsh, corroding and high temperature applications.

The electronics are mounted directly on the head of the instrument. Two versions are available - a portable instrument for process development and an explosionproof unit for permanent process installation. The process control version is explosionproof and all systems are supplied with configuration and setup software.
