Spartan Scientific Announces New Solenoid Valve Designed for Food Service and Processing Applications



Youngstown, Ohio, USA (April 5, 2006) - Spartan Scientific, a manufacturer of standard and custom-designed solenoid valves, has introduced their newest product, the 3B23. The 3B23 solenoid valve is designed for use in food service and processing applications that require media-separation. The 3B23 is compatible with a variety of media types such as water and chemicals which are contained within a valve cavity made with FDA-approved materials preventing any contact with the metal components of the solenoid operator.

The 3B23 can provide flow rates up to 1.5 gpm and is extremely cost-effective featuring a long-life solenoid which incorporates a fully encapsulated coil with a stainless steel plunger and tube assembly. Available in a normally- closed configuration, the 3B23 employs a rolling diaphragm enabling operating pressures up to 150 psi with orifice sizes ranging from 0.6 mm to 2.0 mm. Other features include availability in all standard voltages, a standard 6.5 watt coil, a single in-line valve body with metal reinforced 1/8" NPT threads as well as an ultra small volume and simple flow path for clean switching.
