Original Press Release:

New, Compact Instrument Combines Oxygen Analyzer and Gas Flow Control Features in a User-Friendly Re-Flow and Wave Soldering System

Glen Rock, NJ: The compact, new MAP Check 9000 PFC instrument available from PBI-Dansensor offers the operator a single control point for maintaining maximum quality of the end product with less scrapping and rework while utilizing minimum gas consumption.

The system which merges the popular PBI-Dansensor MAP Check and MAP Con products into one instrument with the same high quality and advanced technology performance expectations maintains an optimal quality in the protective atmosphere process by regulating the gas flushing process. Oxygen feedback from the analyzer automatically regulates the gas flow controller to maintain the defined Oxygen level.

The MAP Check 9000 PFC includes an on-line, user-friendly process gas analyzer for monitoring oxygen levels. All system parameters are monitored via an advanced self-diagnostics function that includes sensor flow detection with user-defined gas concentration alarms.

MAP Mon 9000 is the Windows-based, remote control software for the entire MAP Check 9000 PFC system. The software offers a wide range of easily accessible set-up possibilities and a good system overview. Data logging and the ability to record measured values in a user-defined sequence, enable the MAP Check 9000 PFC to operate within the traceability requirements of ISO 9000 and other quality specifications. The program can be installed on the same PC that controls the soldering machines; thus offering the operator a single point from which to control the entire system.
