PerkinElmer Speeds HPLC Method Development

New Software Enhances Analysis of Method Robustness

NEW ORLEANS - PerkinElmer Instruments announces the release of the new time-saving Turbo Method Development (TMD) software. This totally unique offering reduces the time and effort required to develop high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) methods, and performs and documents method robustness studies.

Using an intuitive user interface design, TMD runs in concert with the award-winning PerkinElmer TotalChrom(TM) software. TMD requires no previous knowledge of sample components, has no restriction on analysis time, and can optimize any mobile phase parameter. Advanced features include automated method robustness testing performed at the single click of a mouse.

"LC method development is overlooked by many LC system vendors. PerkinElmer has developed this powerful tool to make this complex process easier and more reliable," said Kenneth King, chromatography business unit manager at PerkinElmer Instruments.

TMD works with either normal or reverse phase HPLC. The optimal system is built around the PerkinElmer Series 200 Diode Array Detector. This integrated configuration enables complete HPLC system control, while the diode array provides valuable spectral information for ensuring component homogeneity and accurate peak identification.
