Original Press Release:
Configure One Introduces New 4.0 Version of Concept(TM)
Configure One, the Oak Brook, IL software developer, will introduce the latest version of its Concept(TM) Product Configurator software at the National Enterprise IT Show in Chicago, part of National Manufacturing Week.
The company's new Concept 4.0 uses a modular approach to greatly expand the functionality of its configurator system, while at the same time giving customers greater flexibility in licensing only those capabilities that are needed to meet their particular needs.
The latest release includes many new features of particular importance to those in sales and marketing, including automated product pricing, fast and accurate sales quotations that reflect the appropriate discount levels, the ability to be implemented with or without integration to CAD, improved options for uploading and attaching files, greater workflow functionality, as well as improved control for remote implementation and maintenance. In addition, Concept 4.0 offers a more intuitive admin approach.
Also new to Concept 4.0 are more comprehensive communications capabilities. This added functionality simplifies integration with other business systems, allows for greater collaboration, enables results to be e-mailed directly from within the system, and supports mass e-mail communications - particularly useful when you need to distribute new product data or pricing updates to field sales and customers.
Concept 4.0 is a web-based product configurator designed to reduce the time involved in selling, designing and manufacturing those products that offer a wide selection of options or those products that are routinely customized. The automated system allows manufacturers to greatly reduce the time between a customer's initial interest for a quote and when the configured product is ready to ship. With Concept 4.0, sales and engineering tasks can now be accomplished in hours or minutes instead of days.
Other key benefits include: better communications with dealers and distributors, accurate design feedback to customers, perfect translation of customer requirements, near instantaneous creation of deliverables, increased accuracy in manufacturing documentation and drawings, reduced rework and scrap, and the increased revenues and profitability that result.
Live demonstrations of Concept 4.0 can be seen at Booth 613 within the Microsoft Pavilion, March 3-6, 2003 or arranged on-line at www.configureone.com. For more information, contact: Configure One, 900 Jorie Boulevard, Oak Brook, IL 60523. Phone 800-798-2802 or Fax 630-368-9951.
