LATHEM INTRODUCES PAYCLOCK® VERSION 5 TIME AND ATTENDANCE SYSTEM FOR SMALL BUSINESS
New Software Features Windows Vista Compatibility and QuickBooks Support
ATLANTA, GA (Feb. 12, 2008) -- Lathem Time Corp. introduced today PayClock® Version 5, an affordable, easy-to-use automated time and attendance system for small businesses.
PayClock Version 5 features Windows®-based software that runs on Windows XP or Vista PC. PayClock Version 5, an upgrade to PayClock Express, PayClock EZ and PayClock Pro, can be used with Lathem's automated timekeeping systems, including the PC50, TouchStation(TM), the PC400 and the PC100.
New software features include:
o Microsoft Vista Support - PayClock now supports Microsoft's newest operating system, Vista.
o QuickBooks 2008 Integration - exchange employee and hours information with the latest versions of QuickBooks small business accounting software.
o Custom Fields - track employee information specific to your company with new custom fields.
o New Express Timecard - a new timecard interface that recalls the familiar classic timecard with all the features of an automated system.
o In/Out Board - this new feature allow supervisors and managers to view the in/out status of employees on their desktop computer.
"The new software allows you to input data directly into a timecard that's built into the system," said Philip Seagraves, director of Business Development, Lathem Time Corp. "It also uses the new Microsoft Office 2007- style interface, so it's user-friendly. Technology changes at such a rapid pace, and Lathem wants to ensure that today's small businesses have the technology they need to keep their businesses ahead of the curve."
Prior to the advent of PayClock, an owner or manager had to process time and attendance manually or invest in a highly complicated and expensive system. But with PayClock Version 5, users can automate this process in a fast, easy and affordable way, Seagraves said.
PayClock Version 5 reduces errors by keeping an accurate record of employee attendance, which is then compiled and automatically calculated into finished payroll, factoring in wages, attendance, vacation and sick time, lunch and break deductions. In most cases, payroll preparation time is reduced by at least 50 percent.
One of the most popular features of PayClock Version 5 is the direct interface to ADP®, Paychex® and QuickBooks. The interfaces allow data such as employee hours to be imported from the PayClock system directly into a company's preferred payroll software, eliminating manual data entry errors while saving time and money. The new interface provides businesses the opportunity to implement true "punch-to-paycheck" systems.
This new software upgrade may be obtained through an authorized Lathem dealer or Lathem directly.
