Bystronic Releases Bysoft Software Upgrade 6.5 with Bybend Module for Press Brakes



(Hauppauge, NY) Bystronic Inc. announces the latest release of the Bysoft 6 software, version 6.5, available for all users of Bystronic laser and waterjet cutting systems. This specially developed, modular user software supports laser cutting, waterjet cutting and bending production technologies. Flexible solutions assure system-wide data administration, integrating the entire process chain from the importing of data to construction and production to storage administration and statistics.

The main highlights of the Bysoft release 6.5 include the following:
o Direct, easy import of DXF,DWG and IGES file formats
o Faster programming with single or batch file conversions
o Automatic assignment of CAM technologies depending on features
o Automatic optimization of tool path and lead-in technologies to avoid part tip-in and/or collision
o Accurate part-time estimates directly from part level programming
o Easy importing of scanned image files using Bytrace

With Bybend's integrated 3D-simulation feature, visualization of the bending sequences as well as automatic collision detection is performed before the part is sent to the operator for processing.
