New IBM Informix Extended Parallel Server and Updated IBM Data Management Business Intelligence Gold Bundle offer Informix Customers Greater Value and Flexibility

Overview
IBM Informix(TM) Extended Parallel Server (XPS) V8.50 is designed for the largest, most demanding, and most complex data warehouse
applications. By including comprehensive data warehousing
features and using a sophisticated shared-nothing underlying
architecture, XPS achieves industry-leading performance and
flexibility. This enables you to make more profitable decisions from complex, query-intensive, analytical applications.

The following products are bundled with IBM Informix XPS V8.50 or can be ordered separately for use with other servers.

IBM Informix Connect Runtime V2.81
This is the runtime library for the Client Software Development Kit (CSDK) V2.81.

CSDK is a collection of APIs that can speed development time for
applications that work with IBM Informix Dynamic Server (IDS) and XPS. Using Informix CSDK, developers can write applications in the language they prefer, whether it is Java(TM), C++, C, ESQL, or any application tools with open database connectivity (ODBC) and/or OLE DB access. (OLE DB is a set of communication [COM interfaces that provides applications with uniform access to data stored in diverse information sources regardless of
location or type.)

This flexibility allows for more choice in programming environments, promotes easier and faster application development, and reduces the cost of training developers in new skills. With CSDK, developers can also build one application to access multiple IBM Informix databases, saving maintenance and support expenses, minimizing downtime, and further speeding application development. The CSDK APIs are optimized for accessing Informix databases.

IBM Informix Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) V2.21
The IBM Informix JDBC driver is a pure Java platform-independent, industry-standard, type 4 JDBC driver. It enables multi-tier Java application deployment against IBM Informix heritage database servers. It also provides superior performance and integration with IBM products like WebSphere® and eXtensible Markup Language (XML).

IBM Informix Server Administrator (ISA) V1.50
IBM ISA is a browser-based, cross-platform database server
administration tool. It provides an easy-to-use interface for the XPS command line, thus eliminating the need to memorize commands and options.

IBM Informix I-Spy V2.0
IBM Informix I-Spy, previously announced, is a smart data
warehouse monitoring and optimization tool designed for IBM
Informix databases. I-Spy helps warehouse administrators and
architects increase the business value of enterprise data warehouses through enhanced efficiency, design improvements, and lower maintenance costs.
