New Windows(R) - Based C Development Tools for Tattletale(R) Model 8/8v2 Embedded Data Loggers/Controllers
Onset Computer Corporation introduces a new suite of C Development software tools supporting a Windows-based development platform for the family of Tattletale Model 8 (TT8/TT8v2) Embedded Data Loggers/Controllers. The new tools, which include TT8/TT8v2 libraries and start-up code, example files, set-up files and the CrossCut terminal emulator, operate in Windows versions 98, ME, NT, 2000, and XP. The suite of tools supports TT8/TT8v2 68K cross-development using Metrowerks CodeWarrior(TM) for Palm OS® version 8.0 (or later). Addition of the Windows-based tools greatly simplifies and accelerates code development for the TT8 product line, which can also be programmed using Onset's TxBASIC language.
Pricing for the new Windows-based C development software CD is $25. The CD is also included in a kit containing the CodeWarrior for Palm OS compiler and TT8 Manual ($570) and in more extensive Developer's kits containing the CodeWarrior compiler and additional development materials (from $695 to $995).
Onset's family of TT8 embedded loggers/controllers, which are based on the Motorola 68332 processor, offer very low power operation (sleep current <200 microA typical) in a small form factor (2" x 3" x 0.5"). With up to 25 digital I/O lines and count channels, as well as 8 analog channels, the TT8 family is a popular choice for oceanographic, aerospace, and other data logging applications where complex calculations or control functions are required with minimal power-draw and size.
