New Power Suite 4.0 Simplifies Power System Sizing and Installation
MINNEAPOLIS - The recently updated Power Suite 4.0 from Cummins Power Generation simplifies power system design and installation by combining equipment specifications, CAD drawings and technical papers into one easy-to-use format. The new version features a convenient Web interface, giving users the flexibility to work offline, via CDs, or access files through a secure web site.
Power Suite includes GenSize(TM) software, which quickly provides generator set recommendations. These recommendations are based on total facility load requirements and generator performance, calculated in GenSize and based on project parameters entered by the user. With the generator selection made, other elements of Power Suite are available to assist in facility design.
The Library contains all technical data, specifications, drawings and application information, while GenSpec(TM) includes content for users to write their own project specifications. GenCalc(TM) software tools can be used for more specific facility design criteria. One of the Power Suite CDs also includes pertinent plan drawings in CAD format. Both the Library and CAD files can be accessed either offline, from the provided CDs, or from the Internet -- assuring the user receives the most current information.
