Overview
The LEGATO Messaging Suite1, which includes LEGATO EmailXtender, LEGATO EmailXaminer, and LEGATO DiskXtender products, stores both enterprise data and managers e-mail for electronic messaging. These products support Microsoft(TM) Exchange and Outlook and Lotus Notes® and Domino(TM).
LEGATO EmailXtender is a centralized data storage and retrieval system that makes enterprise e-mail easier to administer and use. It automatically moves data off the e-mail message server and into the storage system, capturing and indexing all incoming and outgoing e-mail and attachments.
LEGATO EmailXaminer helps organizations monitor and supervise e-mail content to help manage compliance with government regulations and corporate policies.
LEGATO DiskXtender helps make storage management easy and affordable by unifying storage management across the enterprise. It creates a virtualized data pool that expands primary or secondary storage onto any number of additional media and devices while simplifying management of those resources. Organizations can migrate their e-mail archives to other disk or removable media as well as non-erasable, non-rewritable storage such as write once, read many (WORM).
