New Océ Print Exec(TM) Pro Software for CATIA V5 Simplifies Printing for CATIA Users

Software integrates powerful printing capabilities within the CATIA V5 user interface

February 18, 2003, Chicago - Océ (Nasdaq: OCENY) announces the release of Océ Print Exec Pro software for CATIA V5, which provides CATIA V5 users with substantially enhanced control over printing - especially in large, networked environments. CATIA, developed by Dassault Systèmes and distributed primarily by IBM, is the world's leading business process automation solution for product creation and product lifecycle management (PLM). Océ Print Exec Pro software is part of the Océ Engineering Exec(TM) suite of archiving and distributed output management software. The new software provides a total print management solution for CATIA V5 users.

Océ Print Exec Pro software for CATIA V5 is currently available for Windows® versions of CATIA V5. Dassault Systèmes' CATIA V5 is a PLM solution primarily targeted toward the small to medium enterprise market within the aerospace, automotive, consumer goods, electronics and ship building industries.

Capabilities Overview
Océ Print Exec Pro software integrates many print management capabilities within the CATIA V5 user interface. It offers users:
o Support for a broad range of Océ and other industry standard printers within one intuitive, common print interface, utilizing the CATIA V5 "look and feel"
o The ability to shift print processing from CATIA V5 design stations to back-end network servers, thus increasing the available time for actual design work at the MCAD station
o Advanced output capabilities, such as media selection, stamping, and print job management, to provide immediate status of submitted print jobs
o Easy-to-use administrative tools, with drag-and-drop printer and job management and automated job splitting and printer load balancing

Enterprise-Wide Support

Océ Print Exec Pro for CATIA V5 supports global printing, allowing printers to be utilized throughout the enterprise by remote design centers, partners, suppliers and vendors. From any CATIA V5 workstation, users can select a printer, choose printer settings, and media type and size. The software's open architecture also offers the possibility to manage print jobs from other CAD, PLM or document management systems.

The new software also helps organizations control costs by providing the ability to keep accurate records of what was printed at what time by each department, user or project. This ability helps organizations accurately measure and allocate printing costs, as well as identify cost overruns.

According to Bruno Latchague, executive vice president of research and development, Dassault Systèmes, "The tight integration of the key functionalities of Océ Print Exec Pro software with the CATIA V5 solution will greatly simplify printing support requirements and thus increase our customers' productivity. This new complementary product results from our strong partnership with Océ."

"Océ's new enterprise print management solution for CATIA V5 overcomes common printing obstacles of MCAD systems, allowing users to focus on their core competencies and reduce the time it takes them to get their products to market," added Joyce Virnich, vice president of marketing for the Océ-USA, Inc. Wide Format Printing Systems business unit. "In this time of economic uncertainty, these types of efficiencies are critical to helping organizations reduce their costs and streamline their processes."

On January 9, 2001, Océ and Dassault signed a component application architecture (CAA) development partnership. The purpose of this agreement was the integration of Océ printing applications within the CATIA V5 environment. The result is the integration of customers' critical processes - from design to printing and plotting - into a single environment. Océ is a Software Gold Partner of Dassault.
