Original Press Release:
ENOVIA Life Cycle Applications V5.11 Improves Time to Market and Increases Efficiency
Overview
oENOVIA Life Cycle Applications (LCA) V5.11 further strengthens
product definition exchanges throughout the supply chain with
enhancements to the SMARTEAM -Bills-of-Material (BOM) briefcase and CATIA Work Package Exchange. It enables secure and error-free concurrent engineering implementation with multiple design partners.
oEnhancements in the Virtual Product Development Management(VPDM) domain with the following new announcements/capabilities:
-License migration offers from ENOVIAVPM to VPM V5 functionality in LCA
-Product comparison at the sub-assembly level: Analyze changes between two sub-assemblies or functional views (Generic Components (GCos)) using graph compare
-Query for clash and penetration request by zones
-CATIA Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) integration
-Enhanced support for piping and tubing components.
oThe ENOVIA-PPR Hub product has been renamed ENOVIA-Engineering Hub, which organizes product engineering knowledge using interoperability between the design authoring tools and the product data management tools. DELMIA has also renamed their
product, process, resource (PPR) products, now called Manufacturing Hub. It manages manufacturing process and resources. Together, the Engineering and Manufacturing hubs facilitate product, process, and resources throughout the entire product life cycle.
Additional Enhancements in Intellectual Property (IP) Life Cycle
& Management Domain
oPublish/Subscribe function - Create rules-based subscriptions
and define role-based publications
oProduct structure filtering by engineering changes (specific
Engineering Change Order (ECO), in-work or released structure)
oWorkflow Management enhanced with early work activation and
approval password validation
oSimplification of ECO effectivity management using common condition
